Talia Ghazal recently came on board as our newest BuzzFarmers’s Editor, and boy are we excited to have her on the team. Why?
Well, not only is Talia a creative writer who is genuinely interested in learning everything possible about our clients before even beginning the writing process, but – like Jim – she’s incredibly talented in other aspects, and we love having a diverse, multi-talented (and musical) team.
Did I leave you wondering about Talia’s secret talents? Don’t worry, I won’t leave you hanging. Check out this incredible video of Talia playing the piano.
The best part about working with Talia is that she is enthusiastic. There’s a lot to learn in the BuzzFarmer’s office, and since we work remotely part-time, all that education gets crammed into three in-person days.
In the short amount of time she’s spent working in the office, she’s willingly participated in two staff birthdays, a monthly team meeting, a Rhode Island Ice Cream unofficial taste test, Wear-Your-Sneakers-to-Work day, a client kick-off, and an impromptu staff photo shoot. All that fun and she still managed to squeeze in training while still getting her assignments completed on time. That, my friends, is pretty darn impressive.
Without further explanation, let us introduce you to Talia Ghazal!
BuzzFarmers: Where are you from?
Talia Ghazal: The Ocean State
BF: What were you like as a child?
TG: Painfully shy, but also a little strange – especially after I broke out of my shell.
BF: Who are your heroes?
TG: I majored in English/Creative Writing and minored in music.
BF: Describe your work experience.
TG: Prior to graduating, I interned at A.T. Cross, Rhode Island Public Radio, and Rhode Island Monthly. After I received my degree, I worked for Trinity Repertory Company for about a year as their Marketing & PR Assistant.
BF: Why did you want to work at BuzzFarmers?
TG: My recent experience in marketing combined with my background in writing led me here. I knew the position as an editor would be a perfect fit for me.
BF: What are your goals here?
TG: To expand and grow beyond my limits.
BF: What are your hobbies?
BF: What’s your favorite TV show and why?
TG: I love Seinfeld because they explode the most mundane, everyday experiences. Family Guy is also up there for me. There are no limits to what they say or do, especially as an animated series.
BF: What kind of music do you listen to when you’re working on something or exercising?

TG: There are too many artists for me to list. I’d say my favorite genres are rap/hip hop, reggae, punk rock, and some pop.
BF: Tell me a quick story that encapsulates what kind of person you are.
TG: I once ate a chocolate covered cricket.
BF: Favorite dish you’ve ever had at a restaurant? Describe the dish and tell us the restaurant.
TG: Mexican is my favorite. In Santa Barbara, my cousin and I went restaurant crawling for burritos and tacos.
BF: Are you a mountain person or water person?
TG: Both are great, but I’m going with water. I’m from the Ocean State!
BF: What’s your favorite feature of yourself?
TG: My eyebrows?
BF: Name the first five things you’d do if you won $5 million.
TG: Give a chunk of money to the less fortunate around the world and a chunk to family and friends. I’d also build a music studio for myself, travel and … I probably ran out of money to choose a fifth option.
BF: How tall are you?
TG: I think 5’6” or 5’7”.
BF: Website you visit most often?
TG: Unfortunately, I’d have to say Facebook.
BF: What are you reading right now?
TG: This questionnaire.
Now that I got my sarcastic comment out of the way, I’m actually reading Dick Hebdige’s Subculture: The Meaning of Style
BF: Who do you like better, Pat or Amanda, and why?
TG: They’re both rad!
BF: What’s your favorite form of transportation? Get as specific as you’d like.
TG: A boat! And rollerblades.
BF: Favorite game?
TG: Capture the flag or dodgeball.
